Officers discovered Julius Charles along the Jacmel Road with apparent gunshot wounds about his body. The victim was transported to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU) via ambulance for medical treatment.

Investigations lead to the arrest and charge of Kurtney Eunude and Zidane James of Jacmel, Anse La Raye for the offence of Attempted Murder.

On Saturday August 8, 2026, Julius Charles succumbed to his injuries. Investigations further lead to the arrest and charge of Kurtney Eunude and Zidane James of Jacmel, Anse La Raye for the offence of Murder.

On Monday September 14, 2026, Kurtney Eunude and Zidane James were escorted to the First District Court for bail purposes and were remanded to Bordelais Correctional Facility.
