OVER $4 MILLION WORTH OF NARCOTICS RECOVERED AT PORT CASTRIES

n Thursday, March 26, 2026, a joint operation conducted at Port Castries by officers of the Customs and Excise Department and the Gangs, Narcotics and Firearms Unit (GNFU), with support from other units within the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), resulted in a significant drug and cash seizure.

During the inspection of a shipment, officers identified an anomaly, which prompted a more detailed search. This led to the discovery of approximately 149.69 kilograms of compressed cannabis and 10.144 kilograms of cannabis resin. The cannabis resin has an estimated street value of $405,760, while the compressed cannabis is valued at approximately $3,742,250. Additionally, a sum of USD $110,000 was discovered concealed within the shipment. One individual is currently in police custody assisting with investigations, which remain ongoing.
